Dear Director, 

  

We are pleased to announce an exciting line-up of university adjudicators and clinicians for our Signature Events, the 2027 North Texas, San Antonio, and Houston Madrigal and Chamber Choir Festivals!  

  

High school ensembles committed to producing and sharing high-quality choral music will gather in North Texas on February 19 & 20, in San Antonio on February 26 & 27, and in Houston March 6 to perform in beautiful venues.

 

Ratings trophies and special awards for Performances of Distinction will be presented at the Awards Ceremony. First, Second, and Third Runners-up in each festival’s eligible competition categories will be announced and the First Place Winners in these categories will be recognized as 2028 Honor Choirs.

  

Online registration opens at 6 a.m. on Friday, January 30 and must be completed prior to noon on Monday, February 9, 2026, to receive advance notification of your selection order.  Registration forms will be available at www.amclass.com beginning at 6:00 a.m. January 30, 2026.

 

On-site selection of performance times and clinicians for these festivals will take place at TMEA beginning at 10:15 am for SA and NT and 10:45 am for Houston on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the American Classic Booth, #1937. 

 

SPECIFIC PROCEDURES!  Please read carefully! 

  1. Selection order will be determined by the date/time you submit your electronic registration form. 
  2. 2027 online registration for the NT, SA and Houston madrigal festivals opens at 6:00 AM on Friday, January 30. 
  3. Performance time/clinician selection begins at 10:15 AM (San Antonio and North Texas) and 10:45 AM (Houston) on Thursday, February 12 at the American Classic Booth #1937. 
  4. Selection process is unchanged and place in line is determined by the time stamp on your submitted registration form. 
  5. Mad Fest registrants who register prior to noon on Monday, February 9 will be sent your selection order by/before noon on Tuesday, Feb. 10th. 
  6. Anyone registering after noon on Monday, February 9 will need to come to the booth to get your registration card which will have your number in line. 
  7. Pre-Printed Cards numbered with your place in line for performance slot/clinician selection may be picked up at the American Classic booth beginning at 9:00 am February 12th when the exhibits open.  Choose a convenient time between 9:00a.m. and your assigned time to come and get your card or cards.   
  8. Return to line up according to the number on your pre-printed card to complete the process when performance time selection begins.   
  9. If official convention responsibilities prevent you from coming in person, please select a proxy to take your place in line. 

 

Additional registration information:  

  • If you did not register in advance, you may fill out a registration form at the booth.
  • Those who register at the booth may make their selections after all online registrants who reported to register beginning at 10:15 and 10:45a.m. have completed the process. 
  • On-site registration will remain open during the TMEA exhibit hall hours for the duration of the convention, and online registration will remain open post-convention. 

  

Updated Information:  You may register for a maximum of one group within a specific category in a given year. 

  • Elite Treble:  North Texas or Houston
  • Tenor Bass:  North Texas or Houston
  • Mixed Chamber:  San Antonio, North Texas, Houston
  • Mixed Small Ensemble:  San Antonio
